the road of the olive-tree
and savours 1st
stage :
Nyons Departure
for Nyons, with the awakening of all our directions in the Garden of the
Flavours. Create in 1983, this botanical garden constitutes a true alive
museum, intended to develop the floristic richness of the area. More than 180
species decorate the site. Then discover olive in all these states with the
Old Mills - 2 mills with oil of 18th and of 19th
century - and its soap factory of 18th
century, but especially, the Museum which is exclusively devoted
to him! With through the exposed objects, the museum proposes the old and more
recent history of the culture of the olive-tree with Nyons and its
surroundings, and the various uses of the olive oil. To finish this halt with
Nyons, to thus go to stroll close to the place of the Arcades, the Old Bridge
on Aygues, the Castle and its feudal keep, on the side of the House of the
Dolphin and the district of the Forts. Another possibility: to traverse the
Path of the olive-trees lasting 1h30, with descriptive indicating the history,
the culture of olive and the manufacture of the olive oil. NB: traditional

stage:
Buis les Baronnies Boxwood
Baronnies Aromatic and medicinal plants: come to discover 2 centuries of
tradition "soil" by visiting the House of the Aromatic Plants. The
first hall of the ground floor receives temporary exposures related to the
botanical world and which its renewed four times per annum. With the first
stage, its the great exposition : "Voyage to the Country of the
Flavours". It makes discover two centuries of traditions, productions and
evolution of Baronnies. Panels, windows, objects and interactive documentary
consoles describe these assets and their future. With
the second stage, another temporary exposure. This one is devoted to the many
productions of the companies of Baronnies and the local specialists in the
aromatic plants and their derivatives... At the exit of your visit you will
discover, on your left, the "Garden of the Scents": a collection of
plants with perfumes, aromatic and medicinal, selected and maintained by the
Institute the Aromatic and Medicinal Plants (IPAM). You are then, place of the
Tower of Saffre and by the street of Paty or the street of Beauvoisin, you
find the city of the Boxwood, its old districts, then the pedestrian
precincts, the place of the Arcades, the crossroads of the Quincunx with its
accessible terraces and the banks of Ouvθze. NB:

market Wednesday morning in Buis Baronnies. The
Garden of the Flavours: Opened
all over the year, but period advised from May to September. Free visit, and
possibility of paying guided tour for groups (2/adult and 1/enfant) The
House of the Aromatic Plants: Sunday
and bank holidays: 10 am 12 AM and 15pm 6pm. July/August:
from Monday to Saturday 9am 12am and 15pm 19pm.
April/May/June/September: from Monday to Saturday 9am 12am and 14pm to
18pm. October/November/December/January/February/March: from Monday to
Saturday 9am 12am and 14pm 17.30pm. CLOSED
on May 1st, 24th, 25th, December 26th and 31th as well as 1st and January 2nd.
Possibility of guided tour for the groups on reservation. Price 2,50/pers
for the groups starting from 12 people and full price with 3,50. Old
Mills and the Soap factory : Annual
closures: from January 10th to March 10th and on November 1st at December
10th. In July and August, open everyday except on Sunday pm. Possibility of
visit of groups on RDV starting from 20 people with the price of 3/pers and
